The Cornhill Partnership required a new Intranet and had selected SharePoint 2010 as the development platform they wanted to use. As there were no existing in-house skills they wanted to engage a partner with considerable SharePoint skils and experience to train the internal team. Following an initial meeting, Adepteq quoted to provide suitable training for the project build team in SharePoint 2010, to enable them to effectively deliver the initial requirements of the intranet.
All training was carried out at The Cornhill Partnership by Adepteq’s Microsoft Certified SharePoint consultants.
SharePoint 2010 Administrator Training was provided which included the following key areas: STSADM; Central Administration; Backup/Restore; Web App & Site Collection Admin; Search; Common Admin Tasks; SharePoint Permission Structure; AD Groups / Users; SharePoint Groups / Users; Customisation; Master Pages and Other Tasks & Topics.
SharePoint 2010 Site Owner & Content Owner Training was provided which included the following key areas: Site Structure; Creating Sites (Site Templates & Working with Sites); Pages (Creating & Working with Pages); Lists & List Items (Creating Lists & Columns); Libraries (Document Libraries, Document Control, Metadata & Image Libraries); Views (Public / Personal); WebParts; Alerts; Permissions; Customisation & SharePoint Designer.
Adepteq had access to the existing SharePoint 2010 environment as this was used to deliver the training. By doing this it also ensured any examples given were captured in the environment for future reference or continued development.
Following the training The Cornhill Partnership staff now have the core skills to continue to develop the core Intranet and will call on Adepteq to assist where necessary.
