The Facilities Services Group (FSG) were part of Spice Plc and following a Management Buy Out they needed to replace the solutions being provided by the parent company.
The key driver here was the replacement of the HR solution provided by Spice as this needed to be up and running prior to the split. Following a presentation by Adepteq FSG visited one of our existing customers (ATG Training), where we had developed and deployed a bespoke HR system to meet the needs of the organisation. This visit convinced FSG that a SharePoint solution from Adepteq was the best way to progress on the basis of both cost and time to deliver.
The solution was based on configuring, developing and training in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010.
All work was carried out by Adepteq’s Microsoft SharePoint Certified staff and provided FSG with:
- An easy to navigate core Intranet solution
- An employee records system containing all the information previously available from Spice
- Electronic forms and processes to replace and enhance the existing HR forms and processes
- Self Certification Sickness
- Holiday Requests
- Training Requests
- Expenses
- Vacancy Management
- Appraisal Management
- An easily updated and managed solution
- The knowledge and capability for key staff to be able to amend the solution and for users to be able to add content to the solution
Adepteq worked with the key staff at FSG to create the solution through workshops and on-site development with review, testing and iteration as the solution evolved. This ensured the solution was delivered, approved and live within the timescale of the MBO.
FSG have since obtained a SharePoint Support agreement from Adepteq and we have delivered a Health & Safety Reporting application within the SharePoint environment.
